What Is Ghostwriting?

Ghostwriters are professional writers who write books, articles, and scripts for other folks in exchange for a fee. Usually, ghostwriters do not have their name appear on the final work, although there have been a few exceptions to this rule. There is no shame in hiring a ghostwriter, as many famous celebrities, chefs, actors, singers, businesspeople, and even novelists hire ghostwriters to write books for them.

Ghostwriting for Film and Literature

We are a full-service publishing company as well. If you hire one of our ghostwriters, we have a one-stop-shop that can offer book cover design, editing, layout, ISBN number, and more. In other words you getting both the writing and the publishing, all located in one location!

When it comes to film, we offer our ghostwriting services as well. We can transform your idea, outline, or prompt into a fully realized, professional film script.

Benefits of Our Services

When you hire Heir Media to write your next children’s book, graphic novel, or book, you are hiring a partner that will not only walk you through the entire publishing process, but you are hiring a team that will treat your project as their own. We’ve listed a few reasons why our services are great.

  • We also help publish your book
  • We're involved throughout the entire process
  • We have experienced in house teams
  • We interview you to get an idea of what you need
  • We can also provide ebooks
  • 100% ownership of rights when self-publishing

It depends. If you’re writing a self-help book, a children’s book,  an autobiography (memoir), or any other non-fiction book, then we suggest you contact us as soon as you have a premise, outline, or even a writeup. We’ll work with you to flesh out the particulars and get to the heart of your project.

If you’re looking to author a fiction book (i.e. YA,  fantasy, science fiction, etc.) or have a script written, then we’d suggest that you hire us when you have a good grasp (written down) of your story, characters, and some loose world building ideas. These ideas can be a short writeup (they don’t need to be exceptionally detailed), but depending on how many rules make up your world, can increase the timeline until completion.

We suggest hiring us for the full production pipeline— both ghostwriting and publishing. Utilizing our full pipeline allows you to get used to the consultant (and, subsequently the team) who will guide you through the entire process.

The duration of the ghostwriting process depends on the length and difficulty of the material, and how involved you’d want the ghostwriter to be in the process. Generally, your ghostwriter will develop material for you to review and approve on a weekly or biweekly basis. On average, a 200-page or 50,000-word manuscript can take between four and nine months to develop. Sometimes, it is possible to rush these services if you need to meet a specific publishing date, but please note that it will be reflected in the price.

Yes, our ghostwriting packages can include research services. Whether your book requires basic internet searches or rigorous scholarly research, we can conduct effective research and synthesize it into your book.

No! That’s the beauty of ghostwriting. No one will know you had help with the writing process unless you choose to tell them.

Of course! We have writers well versed in stageplays and screenplays, and we’d love to collaborate with you. Our process is custom to your needs — whether you’d like to have a one-on-one writing session, or are interested in us developing material independently for your review.

Definitely. We can help you write a query letter for a traditional publisher, or we can guide you through the process of using our in-house publishing services!
